It was February of 2014 I visited Pondy(Pondicherry or Puducherry) , meaning, New Town.My husband visited Pondy countless times that every place here is noted to him.But since he loves travelling and wants to fulfill my desires too through him :D , once again (not for last time though because I loved the beach road and would love to go there again) We packed our bags and started to Pondy from Chennai.
So, apart from more beautiful,old, famous religious places in Tamilnadu,there are also other places to visit like art &crafts stops, Boating(Ofcourse not in summer),concerts,exhibitions,hills,last but not least Pondy which is 5.30 hours by bus from Chennai.
I have seen pictures of Auroville many a times before but never knew what it actually is ,inside.Since the rules for visiting auroville had changed from the last time my husband visited, we were unaware about taking ticket ,a day prior to entry,so had to see the view from outside only :( .But I would love to go again and this time,take entry ticket a day prior visiting auroville,see how the sun rays fall in and how peaceful,calm it is to just sit, medidate and take the positive energy from Sun.
Whenever my friends ask me for suggestion on trip,I tell them,'If you are looking out for a relaxation trip ,then go to Pondicherry'.

Just going around on the clean roads of pondy is not to be missed.Some Shopping, spending time in the aashram, sit for long, in beach are beautiful.
