Ever since I moved to chennai from Hyderabad,I heard a lot about Dakshinachitra so I finally decided to go there on 14th of August 2016.That was the time once again I realised why everyone is scared about chennai's climate.Even in August, Sun was terrific .As always wearing light clothes and carrying a water bottle is a must, so did we.(forgot the umbrella 😤

I couldn't stop from making a video of Dakshinachitra ,for, the beautiful Indian royalty free music I downloaded yesterday that suits very well to this place.Below is 'Dakshinachitra museum South Indian Heritage'.
Many foreigners visited Dakshinachitra and good to see how keen they have always been to understand different traditions of India, especially South India.
All the generations will surely agree that old is gold.Houses ,quality of construction ,Jewellery ,Food,Timepass activities ,indoor outdoor games, get together with neighbours and relatives every now and then ,guests at home all the time ,all these of olden days will be a golden period to all the generation people ,knowing from their grand /grand grand parents.

I have seen a man making these beautiful shapes with glass.Having had some bad experiences in this he still enjoys playing with glass and fire and now it is his profession.It was good to see him

We loved the houses of states of South India.I love Kerala so I was waiting to see Kerala house structure and it was beautiful. (Reminded me of South Indian song,chinnamma chilakamma :D )

Exhibitions ,art and crafts places are my places of interest. Metal Jewelry especially is beautiful. I would always roam around and stop by to see different types of black metal ear rings.Obviously there are stalls that sell these in Dakshinachitra too.

Visiting Dakshinachitra is a must to know the Indian Heritage and culture,especially south india.Everytime there is some ongoing events taken up the college volunteers here in Dakshinachitra.
